COMING EVENTS
Pet
First Aid Classes Medway Store on June 3 at 6:30pm Dr. Amy Shroff from The Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of New England in Waltham will be at our Medway store on June 3 offering a First Aid Class to the general public. This class is designed to teach pet owners the basics regarding the most common pet emergencies and how to recognize when professional help is needed. Dr. Shroff will cover the importance of knowing your dog’s normal status so that when he or she gets sick or becomes injured, you will be able to act quickly and calmly. Disaster preparedness is also covered. Topics include how to get a pulse and heart beat, how to check the gums, how to get a temperature, set up a first aid kit, safe transport and bandage application. This class will be two hours in duration and promises to be fun as well as educational. The goal is to prepare the pet owner for what constitutes an emergency situation and how to recognize when further care is needed. The best way to handle any emergency with your pet is to be prepared! Pre-registration is required by calling 781/684-8387 or emailing kparkinson@vescone.com. A $20 donation is requested and will be given to Medfield Animal Shelter. Space is limited, so register early for this popular workshop!
